Where to go tonight? Choose VUI-Fest Bazaar and Sunset Town for southern market-and-show evenings; Grand World for northern family entertainment; or Duong Dong restaurants and the Dinh Cau waterfront for a central low-commitment evening. Important: the established Bach Dang night market faced relocation in 2026; its present trading site has not been independently confirmed.

Rule: Visit one part of the island per evening. Grand World in the north and Sunset Town in the south are not a convenient single-evening combination.

1. VUI-Fest Bazaar: a southern beachfront market

Within Sunset Town in An Thoi, VUI-Fest Bazaar is promoted by developer Sun Group as a seaside night market with more than 40 stalls, food, souvenirs and Vietnam Fruits & More. Public market admission is advertised as free, while purchases and shows can cost extra.

The developer also advertises fireworks visible from the market on operating show nights. Treat this as an operator claim, not an independent guarantee of nightly fireworks: check the event schedule, weather and sightlines for your actual visit.

Practical evening: sunset walk in publicly accessible Sunset Town streets, market dinner, then one optional confirmed show. Do not assume a public street view gives access to a ticketed grandstand.

2. Duong Dong: the Bach Dang night-market relocation warning

Location warning, checked 20 October 2026: the long-running Bach Dang night market faced relocation after its site leases ended. Reports from Tuoi Tre and Thanh Nien on 1 April 2026 said authorities were studying an alternative site. We could not verify a confirmed new official location or ongoing trading at the old site. Ask your hotel for a current trading location before setting off.

Do not use old Bach Dang address pins or 18:00–23:30 opening hours as proof of current operations. Independently operating restaurants in Duong Dong and the Dinh Cau waterfront remain possible evening options. Confirm the actual establishment, access and hours locally.

Simple alternative: enjoy Dinh Cau near sunset, then select a verified restaurant or café nearby. A closed or relocated market need not spoil a central evening.

3. Bai Truong Night Market: a Long Beach alternative

Sun Paradise Land’s August 2026 commercial guide describes Bai Truong as another evening food-and-shopping option. Its operating entrance and daily hours were not independently verified for this article. Ask your hotel for an accurate map pin and current opening details; Bai Truong is a long coastline, not a single short walkable neighbourhood.

4. Grand World: illuminated canals and family entertainment

Grand World, in the northern Vinpearl area, offers accessible public streets, canal scenery, shops and evening food stalls. The operator advertises short cultural events and larger paid productions; general public-area entry should not be confused with tickets to individual shows.

Laser Show22:45–22:50Late hour may not suit children
The Quintessence of Vietnam20:15–21:00Ticketed main performance; 300,000 VND operator reference

Times above are operator-published references, not guarantees for 2027. Confirm the day’s programme on Grand World official information and the Quintessence of Vietnam page. A short public-area activity is not equivalent to full access to the ticketed cultural performance.

Family tip: After VinWonders or Safari, return to the hotel for a break, then decide whether to visit Grand World. There is no need to keep children occupied until the last late-night show.

5. Sunset Town fireworks: which show should you buy?

Symphony of the Sea

Sun World announced Season 3 for 10 November 2026, with jet-ski and flyboard performances, lighting, music and fireworks effects. Previous-season material suggests starts around 19:45–20:00, but this is not a confirmed 2027 timetable. Check the exact show date, ticket type, viewing position and bad-weather terms at Sun World.

Dinner-show at Sun Bavaria GastroPub

Sun Group promotes Sun Bavaria GastroPub as a viewing venue for Symphony of the Sea, including dinner or buffet-and-show combinations, with a buffet advertised as offering nearly 100 items. This may appeal to couples celebrating an occasion. Compare the total dinner-show price with a separate show ticket plus another restaurant; check table location, meal inclusions and actual performance access. The restaurant and show share the same commercial operator, so claimed premium sightlines are operator marketing, not firsthand RoamDecide testing. Operator’s October 2026 announcement.

Kiss of the Sea

This is a ticketed multimedia production with water, projection, light, music and fireworks. Sun World’s 13 October 2026 ticket guide lists a reference standard price of 950,000 VND. Ticket products, schedules and promotions can change. Buying admission makes sense if you want the full staged experience, not just a distant fireworks glimpse.

Evening choiceWhy choose itMain trade-off
Market + public waterfrontFlexible and low admission commitmentNo guaranteed complete show view
Standalone show ticketFocus on performance and viewing areaConfirm date, seating, weather/refund terms
Dinner-show packageDining and entertainment togetherCompare the final total, inclusions and value

Don’t count on free fireworks every evening. Performance schedules, maintenance, weather and venue restrictions affect what runs and what can be seen from public areas.

6. Night squid fishing: another type of evening

Paid squid-fishing excursions are available through independent tour operators. Compare departure pier, hotel pickup, group size, suitable life jackets, children’s suitability, seasickness risk, weather cancellation and equipment. Catching squid is never guaranteed. A short market stroll may suit a family with young children better than a late boat trip.

7. Free versus paid: which experience is worth it?

Total evening cost = tickets + food + return transport + optional activities. A free public market can still be expensive if the taxi journey is long. A show ticket can be good value for a special occasion but poor value for someone who only wants street food and a walk.

8. Three practical plans

South: Sunset Town public walk → VUI-Fest dinner → one confirmed optional show → hotel.

North: hotel rest → Grand World public areas → optional short cultural entertainment → hotel.

Centre: Dinh Cau sunset → verified Duong Dong restaurant or confirmed market → hotel. Do not assume Bach Dang market is open at its historic site.

Frequently asked questions

Is the old Bach Dang Night Market still open?

Its lease and site arrangements faced relocation in 2026. At our October research check, no confirmed replacement address or continued trading at the old site could be established. Ask your hotel for the current trading location.

Where should I go at night in Phu Quoc?

For a southern market and shows, VUI-Fest and Sunset Town; for northern family activities, Grand World; for a quiet central evening, Dinh Cau and an operating Duong Dong restaurant.

Are fireworks guaranteed every night?

No. Operators advertise frequent fireworks-linked performances, but schedules and weather can change. Check the show you intend to attend for your actual date.

Is Grand World free to enter?

General public streets and areas are generally accessible without an overall admission ticket. Particular performances and attractions can charge separately.

Is Kiss of the Sea worth buying?

It may suit visitors wanting a complete staged multimedia show. If your priority is an inexpensive evening stroll, public areas or a market can be the better choice.
